Thinking quickly, she grabbed the ticket from the pilot’s breast pocket. The suspicious inspector asked what was going on. Again, thinking on her feet, she replied: “He’s deaf and dumb.” The other two pilots showed their tickets in silence. “Deaf and dumb too, I suppose?” asked the inspector.
