Hi everyone,
On Tuesday of this week we heard the devastating news that our dear 9others friend Todd OBrien passed away due to complications from covid.
We know a number of you will have met Todd at 9others dinners, parties and through introductions we have made over the years. In June this year Todd and his wife, Lisa, joined us at an online 9others event and Todd was looking forward to hosting 9others himself in Austin TX in the next few weeks.
We first met Todd in late 2013 and he always had an incredible way of lifting people up and sweeping them along with his enthusiasm, optimism and huge entrepreneurial spirit to get good things done. He seemed to run at full pace his whole life and, even with career and family commitments, still found time and energy to be a great supporter to both of us and to 9others.
Looking back through the notes we took from the June 9others event Todd's generosity and thoughtfulness in contribution to other people's challenges shines through.
Being part of the 9others community is all about sharing challenges, supporting each other on this journey and encouraging each other to show up and be our best each day. Todd loved life and lived this at every possible moment. To honour him we wanted to share the Legacy Letter written by Lisa and family, which you can read here. The Legacy Letter also contains details of the educational fund that Lisa has set up to support their two children.
Life in 2020 really has been hard for all of us so in amongst the tough stuff please take time to tell your nearest and dearest that you love them and please continue to go out there and make great things happen. In this unimaginably difficult time we join together in wishing Lisa and her family a long life, free from further sorrow.
