Thank you Tim

Matthew first met Tim Armoo (and his co-founder Ambrose Cooke) in early 2013 when they came and pitched an idea they had for the new company — it was probably the first time Matthew had heard the word ‘Instagram influencer1’.

It was a terrific idea and would later turn into their company FanBytes. And what was remarkable was that Tim had memorised the pitch and Ambrose knew exactly when to flick to the next slide during Tim’s speech.

They were clearly two very smart and very impressive entrepreneurs.

The photo below (in Nick Wheeler’s kitchen with his FanBytes share certificate) is one that Matthew took when working with Nick.

Nick invested in FanBytes’ very first round, was extremely satisfied with the result, and rightly so — Tim, Ambrose and (later co-founder) Mitchell deserve all their success, then and since.

Over the years Tim and Ambrose came along to 9others dinners and parties, we helped each other out along the way, and continue to do so with Tim and Ambrose’s respective new ventures.
