The ‘Speak-up’ Platform
I’ve just looked back through my emails and I was introduced to Raj Ramanandi back in July 2012. The embarrassing thing is, we’d already tried to meet but I had a spectacular diary fail (be warned: this happens every couple of years — I live by my calendar but sometimes there’s an epic fail).
Anyway, Raj is the forgiving kind and has been to 9others and in & around startups and investment in the years before & since.
And since 2018 when Raj co-founded InChorus (the ‘Speak-up’ Platform) he’s been fostering a safer, more inclusive workplace. Through the InChorus people can anonymously report issues which helps organisations improve inclusion and diversity.
As part of this, and in partnership with Daring Capital, InChorus is launching new independent research to better understand founders’ experiences of safety, respect and misconduct during early-stage fundraising.

We’re exploring founders’ experiences of safety, respect, and potential misconduct during fundraising. Some founders have shared that they’ve faced uncomfortable or unprofessional interactions, but there’s never been a data-led study to understand the scale of this issue or how the ecosystem can respond.
