At 9others over the years we’ve had many challenges tabled to which the solution was often ‘get better data, and then get better analysis’. So this week we wanted to share some resources (or rather, tell you about Olam) that should be useful if you want some help figuring out what’s going wrong, where, and what you can do about it.
Olam first came to a meal with 9others in January 2023, then the Summer Party that year and we’ve had a few chats on the phone too.

Olam helps Series A+ founders right up to enterprise company teams use data to uncover product and marketing insights by putting in place the infrastructure, real-time reporting and visualisation tools needed to get the best out of their research tasks and experimentation.
Here are some of the challenges and things to consider that have come up:
Rightly, there’s a lot of talk about AI and what it can do but there are still some companies with very manual reporting processes (if you can call them that!). It might not seem a lot in the moment but all that manual copying & pasting, importing, exporting and comparing adds up. You might thing, “I’ll just do this once more and fix it next month…” but you really can save thousands of hours figuring out and implementing a more automated approach (and then there’s the AI…!).
Running the right experiments could improve sign-ups, conversions, engagement and more. But how do you feel about running more experiments? Nervous? Excited? How do you come up with the right experiments to run and how do you know the bits that worked and the bits that didn’t?
But before all that maybe you ought to get an audit. Very common for the financial stuff, and it’s perfectly straight forward to want all the bits & pieces in your website, product or other user journeys tagged and tracked so you know what’s working day-to-day as well as being able to look back over the past few months or the year.
