Shaking it up
Jessica Kruger first came to a meal with 9others in May 2016 and by our count has been to at least 15 others plus some parties and lockdown online-9others (thanks Jessica!).
Jessica started her entrepreneurial journey in 2014 when she opened ETHOS, one of London’s best loved meat-free restaurants. Then, continuing her passion for building cruelty-free businesses, she founded LUXTRA in 2018 driven by her frustration with the fashion industry’s apathy towards human, animal and environmental suffering.
We wanted to share that Jessica has recently rebranded her terrific sustainable fashion brand from LUXTRA to SHAKER.
No Plastic, No Leather
While always being non-leather Shaker’s first product — the Twist bag — is also completely plastic-free, which is a huge achievement in the vegan leather world.
The Twist bag is made by a family-owned manufacturer in Florence, Italy, and is made from plant-based Mirum with some apple skin leather inside.
