Matthew first met Ninad Shinde as a result of the terrific VALUEx community, which Matthew got involved in earlier in 2024. With a career in private equity where Ninad invested, built and transformed businesses, many of them in the healthcare space, he has long been itching to start a startup, but only the right startup…
Ninad is now the founder of Virtue Vets, and is opening the first clinic on Nottingham Street, Marylebone, on Monday 2nd December.
The next three will be launched in quick succession and will be in Brompton Cross, Chelsea, The Boltons, Chelsea and Chepstow Corner, Notting Hill.
From Architects to AI
After visiting Ninad in the Marylebone refit where he’s knocked down walls, installed a new staircase and installed the clinics Matthew has seen Ninad become a builder, architect, project manager and marketer – a man of many talents!
But amongst the dust there’s some remarkable tech being put to use…
Heidi Health will be used by the vets for use voice-to-text report & referral writing and appointment summarising as well as pulling out the relevant clinical information so that vets can spend more time with the animals (and humans) than their keyboard.
There’ll be AI that analyses x-rays and dental records as well as reviewing CT scans and ultrasounds for tumours and anything else that shouldn’t be there.
AI will also handle triaging, which will reduce friction, reduce the risk of delays to treatment and make sure there’s a consistency to the high level of care.
The aim of all this is that Ninad wants Virtue Vets to be as good for your pets as the best private healthcare is for you. All this will result in a happier and longer life for the pets by ensuring they get the treatment that’s needed and the care they deserve.
