On Wednesday 30th October 2024 Katie Muldoon was one of the ‘others’ at the meal with 9others in London. Katie had come over from Cheltenham for the meal (wow, thanks!) and it was a terrific mix of people, including Kam Star, who organised Digital Shoreditch and let us do ‘fringe meals with 9others’ back in 2012 →, Paul Sturrock, whom we’d known since 2011 but this was his first meal with 9others (??!!! He has been to many 9others parties though…) and Jessica Kruger, who is incredibly helpful and generous and for whom I’ve lost count of the number of meals and parties she’s been to!
Afterwards Katie said she’s really enjoyed sharing her challenge, hearing the feedback and helping the others with theirs. So that got her thinking, what about hosting a meal with 9others over in Cheltenham… would that work…?
The first meal with 9others, Cheltenham
And so, on Thursday 8th May Katie hosted the first meal with 9others in Cheltenham.
Here’s what she had to say afterwards:
“Our group dove into a wide range of topics: tech adoption, building confidence, brand impact, hiring, and the ever-present funding challenges. The openness and generosity in the room made it special-everyone brought a challenge, and everyone left with new perspectives and practical ideas.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to such an energising conversation. I’m excited to see this community grow in Cheltenham.”
